SA 285 Grade A Plates and Sheets are carbon steel with a composition as under: Carbon (max 0.17%), Manganese (0.90-1.30%), Phosphorus (max 0.035%), and Sulfur (max 0.035%). Mechanical Properties: They provide tensile strength of 310-450 MPa and minimum yield strength of 165 MPa. They have good ductility, toughness, and good weldability, and therefore they are ideally suited for pressure vessel as well as boiler applications. With increased resistance to moderate pressure and better durability, SA 285 Grade A offers reliability for various industrial applications.
