SA 285 Grade C plates and sheets are balanced chemical composition carbon steel pressure vessel plates with Carbon (0.28% max), Manganese (0.90–1.30%), Phosphorus (0.035% max), and Sulfur (0.035% max). Plates possess moderate tensile strength (515-655 MPa) and yield strength (205 MPa min), which makes them good weldability and formability with excellent properties. Being elongated by 17% min in the length of 200mm, they give good performance under boiler, storage tank, and pressure vessel applications. SA 285 Grade C is suitable for low- to moderate-pressure use, providing toughness and stability in demanding industrial conditions.
